Aeronca: 80 years

Just got a note from Bob Hollenbaugh reminding me that this year, on November 9, The Aeronautical Corporation of America celebrates its 80th Anniversary.

On that note, the current Aeronca, Inc. is totally behind our convention once again this year. They are bending over backwards to make everyone who attends feel welcome. The current management really sees the need to remember their roots...it's how they got to where they are today. The old factory may be gone, but the spirit of Aeronca's history is alive and well. Wait 'till you see the cool giveaway they are planning to give to everyone who takes a factory tour.

Brian,

Good point. So many companies forget their past and Aeronca has not. Those of you who have not toured the factory will enjoy the Middletown fly-in this year.

Brian,

I'm coming out for the first this year and when you mentioned the factory tour, I wondered if you tell me what might be in store in Middletown?

Carl, Friday you can take the bus and tour the wright-patterson airforce museum in Dayton. Saturday is the Aeronca factory tour. The factory is about a 100 yard walk from where we will be set up.
