Just got my issue of Sport Aviation and noticed a "Tex Hill" was listed as recently departed. I wonder if it is the Tex Hill of Flying Tiger fame? Several years ago, I met him in the Hilton lounge at Oshkosh. He was with Bob Hoover. Both nice guys.

Tex Hill headed West back in October. Sad to see the old WW2 guys going but its a journey we all must make at sometime.

I was in San Antonio visiting our youngest and his wife at the time of his passing and it made a lot of local news. I heard him several times at Oshkosh doing symposiums (sp??) and also have his book "Tex Hill Flying Tiger". One of my favorites along with RT Smith's "Tale of a Tiger". The WW2 breed is fast disappearing as they are all at least in their 80's. Tex was around 93 if I remember correctly.
