The POH for the Chief is not a legal POH is why!stknrdr wrote:Nate,
Any idea why there was a POH for the Chief but not the Champ?
Tim
The closest that we ever got was the manual for the L-16 which was produced by Aeronca only because the US Army mandated it.
There has never been a legal POH for either the 7 or 11 series produced by the factory. Only thing out there is what is on the type certificate data sheet and that is placards only.
Joe
PS moving this to the correct section, pre-war Aeronca's to get more viewing.

The closest thing I have found is the list of drawings for the 65CA. Check out this link: http://aeronca.com/dwgs/.

Dan,
Have you been in contact with Mr. Gores? Wondering if he is still active with the Aeronca community.

I spoke with Mr. Gores about 2 years ago, on the phone, about some pre-war issues.joea wrote:Dan,

At that time, he seemed to be feeling his age, but was nice to talk to on the phone, and chock full of tidbits of info.
Thanx

I have not been in contact with William Gores in a few years. I just checked the FAA registary and He still has 5 CA's or LB's registered to him.
