ailerons

Post by big chief 48 »

Hi guys.. Well my dream trip to Canada on floats is over and it was the best.

You really can catch 125-150 walleye in 2 hours or so. Ice was still on most of the lakes so had to really watch where you landed. Speaking of..... Them damn canadians (yea I said it) kind of ruined my trip off the get-go.

When I went through customs their dock had been pulled up and a houseboat was in the way. Well, trying to be good little pilot, I tried to squeeze things in and hit the aileron (pilot side) with a post where the dock should have been. Too focused on the houseboat. There's a lesson to be learned, don't fixate on anything too long on floats.

After deciding that the ailerons wouldn"t come off in flight (hopeing) I kept going even though it did fly a little crooked. The front of the aileron got caught on the post and pulled down a good size lip on it. So the long end of the skinny is that I was wondering if anyone has a spare aileron and how much it might be?

Mine is very fixable, but I don't have the time to do it, and what little time I have, Iwould like to fly.

Thanks, Boris
