1946 Aeronca 7AC For Sale in Lawrenceville GA

Post by darflyboy »

I have a 1946 Aeronca Champ for Sale. It is located in Lawrenceville, Ga at KLZU. I purchased it in March 2008, have put a new API tailwheel on it, replaced the right brake drum (van sickle brakes), replaced the altimeter, and am currently attempting to replace the fuselage tank fuel gauge with a Wag Aero gauge.

I bought it from a local owner for $25K and have put over $700.00 in it on the new stuff. It was restored in 1983, had an overhauled A-65 put on it in 1994, and sat from 2000 to 2008 as the owner rebuilt his semi-public airport (Stockmar Airport in Villa Rica, GA), He did run the engine for a few minutes each month during the 7-8 year airport rebuild.

I am asking $24,900.00, but please make an offer.

The plane had been hangered since the 83 rebuild until I purchased it in March 2008.

I plan to buy a Cessna 150 when I sell the Aeronca as you can tie it down outside without worrying about the fabric and fame.

I will be glad to send pictures and copies logs for the 1983 restoration and the 1994 engine o/h & replacement as well as 2000 and 2008 annuals.

:)

Give me a call, I've got some hangar space available at little private strip about 10 miles from LZU. As long as your not an ax murder your welcome to keep your plane there for free or close to free. I've got my Champ fuse in there now but it doesn't take any space. Call me 228 254 0708. Well work something out, that might be your retirement plan after all. 8)
