Simple question

Post by powers »

Where are you guys setting your saw horses once you get your wing covered. On other planes I've worked on I always set them on the ribs. However, these Champ ribs are kind of flimsy, and I don't know if one rib can hold the weight of the wing. Also, I have the thinner ribs.

powers,
I utilize the rib. I put a piece of cardboard between the stand and the rib. Once completed I have rolling wing storage stands that places the wings vertical. Be careful with using foam for cushioning. Some of the chemicals in the foam will react with the finish.
