I went down to pre-flight my Champ for what was to be my last flight while undergoing Radiation Treatment the next 7 weeks. Lo and behold while checking my wood prop I discovered the laminant on the blade tips is just beginning to delaminate on one side.

Is this repairable? If so, any good place in Florida to do it or where?

If it's not repairable, does anyone have a serviceable replacement available for sale?

It would be swung by a Continental A-65.

Their wood prop factory is actually in Florida. Check their web site for location and contact info. If it is just the varnish pealing, that can easily be touched up with some spar varnish. If it is the actual wood or metal that is loose, you may have a bigger problem. Can you post a picture? Someone with more experience than me might be able to tell you something from the pic. The Sensenich web site has the maintenance buliten for their props.

The prop if needed can be overhauled but hope that this is just a cosmetic issue that can be worked with using some varnish.

Also will hold the thought for you in your upcoming medical treatment. Get well and fast and let us know how things are going. Remember, the skinnier you get, the faster you can climb!
