I'm looking for information on any experiences and sources for a left side swing-up window for a 7AC and or 7EC/FC airframes. I'm not interested in the sea plane type doors. Anyone with info please advise. Regards, Orlan

Orlan,
No idea on the window but good to see you back on the board! Hows the airplane doing? Has the wife gotten her license finished yet?
Post some photos of the airplane when you get time!

Howdy Joe. Elizabeth got her license in Oct 07. She has since flown over 60 hours in the 7AC plus 50 in a Cherokee 160 and the balance in the Comanche.
We acquired a pair of basket case 7FCs that were converted to tail-draggers (7EC style) in 1982. We are repairing both with about 4 week lag in status between Elizabeth's N9NW and Bill Teaff's N7580E. Hope to fly N9NW from KCXO to Alaska in early summer 2010. I'll send you photos of the project planes next week-end. Orlan

Orlan,
Great to hear the news and glad the Aeronca's found a good home.
If you do not mind will put the photos on the board so everyone can see. For everyone who has not seen Orlan's work, its award winning and their airplanes are beautiful!
Take care,
Joe

Orlan,
I have a side opening window on my Champ. All the 337 says is "side opening window installed". This was done about 15 years ago when things were easier to do.
I can take some pics next time I go flying. Its on floats and I usually go about once a week.
PS. You'll have to give me an email addres since I could never figure out how to post on here. I sent pictures to Joe to post. There are two pictures of my Champ in the Photo's thread. If you look close you can see it.

I also have the "citabria" style left window on my 7CCM. If you need more info (337, etc...) let me know. Andy
