Sensenich wood prop

I am building-up a Cont'l A75-8 engine for my 7AC Champ, and need a Sensenich W70DK40 or a W70DK42 propeller, Jack, Tel 325 670 0112 Thanks

Just saw a metal prop for an A-75 on Ebay.
Item number: 150300549114
Do not know anything about it but its a $100 right now so worth looking at.

I've got a wooden climb prop that I've used but don't much like. It was refurbished by Watson props and I've got about 25 hours on it. I think its pitched to 38" or nearly so. I would have to go back to the hangar and look.
I'm rebuilding a C-85 to mount on the Champ. I'm convinced that an A-75 is nothing more than an A-65 with some marketing magic!

Doug,
Correct, the A-75 is simply a A-65 that has some better bits inside (pistons, valves and connecting rods drilled for oil) to allow it to run higher rpm, thus make another 10 hp. You only use the power when needed (takeoff and such) so it really is a 65 hp engine most of the time.

the A75 uses a different venturi in the carb.

Doug,
I have said that the venturi had to be changed for years on the A-75 upgrade and one person "who knows it all" on the fAA email list insists that this is not true.
Do you have any documentation or place you can point me that proves this?

Page 25 & 26 looks like the A series is the same but there is a change in the C series.

Yes, a souped-up A65 thats called a A75, gets a little better climb due to a faster turning engine with a "climb prop" uses a little more fuel if the throttle is all the way forward, I'm doing a major on one of my A65"s (got two) and, what the heck, I can compare now. nothing is done to the Bendix-Stromberg NAS3A1 carb when overhauling from a A65 to a A75. the C75 is a different engine, look in "Trade-a-Plane" go to Fresno Airparts Co. the page with all the engine goodies on it, and you will see parts listed for Cont. A65-75 in one colume and parts listed for Cont. C75-85 in another. Still looking for a wood prop for the A75. Jack
