Many of you know that Bill Pancake was recently inducted into the Vintage Aircraft Hall of Fame at a dinner at EAA HQ in Oshkosh. Here is a nice video bio of Bill from the EAA website: http://tinyurl.com/6anxz4

Congratulations Bill!

What a super awesome guy. Very open and easy to talk to about anything Aeronca related. This year at Oshkosh I asked him if the rumor was true of him spinning a Champ over 100 times during one flight and he said it was....50 something one way and then 50 the other.

Still available virtually everyday...we called him a couple times here recently with questions about the Tri-Champ that Ed Jones just finished.

Bill is one of the real gems in the Aeronca world, with his wife standing right beside him of course. Really nice guy and always ready to lend a hand to help.

Congrats Bill!

He has a wealth of knowledge about Aeroncas and the willingness to share what he knows with others.
I've spoken to him and heard his forum at Oshkosh a few times and my impression of him is that he is a very modest and down to earth person.
I hold those qualities in the highest regards.
Congratulations Bill!

Bill Pancake has never failed to stop what he is doing and help any way he can. He has helped me and Lloyd too many times to list. Recognition long overdue. Many, many planes flying now due to his help! David J.
