Air Maze filter part no

The existing filter on my Champ (C85) is stamped:

Air Maze Division Type P-15
Incom International Inc
Mrfs part No 13204
Filter Engine Charge Air (00736)
Spec MILF 7194.

Before I order a new filter to be shipped over, can someone kindly help me confirm if the generally listed part number 2-849 is the same as the above?
Also, is there a material filter in the mesh pleats, or is it just the mesh pleats at 90 deg that catch the dirt?
Thanks
Rich

I can't help you no part no.'s, but to check the one you have, if you hold
it up to a light and you can cleary see your fingers thru it, it needs to be
replaced. I use the Brackett one, good for 100 hrs. or one year.

Keep in mind, if it's a Paper filter (paper instead of foam), you only have to replace them when the paper is damaged. To clean it, turn it inlet side down and hit it against the concrete and blow some air through from the carb side. I've had the same filter for the 9 years i've owned 21E.

All the way over in UK....wow....why don't you fly it over for Sun-N-Fun. :P

Nathan, Lowell, thanks for your replies.

Sun'n'Fun? .... hmmmm. I'd have had to set off a month ago!
:D

At least one of our UK Aeroncanauts will be there (not me, sadly, I take my annual Florida vacation in Feb and if you look at my posting re fuel prices you'll see why I can't go twice!).

However, the idea has been raised of 2 or 3 of us coming over to the 2006 Convention .... need to plan ahead!
(are the dates fixed yet?...)

Rich,

We'd love to have you over for the 2006 Convention! Dates will most likely be June 15-18.

Brian, good dates! my elder daughter's wedding is the following weekend, so it could be a very good time for me to escape to Ohio! So far a couple of UK Aeroncanauts have discussed coming over, maybe some others will join in.
Regards
Rich
