putting VG's on my Champ, can't wait for the wind to quit blowing to try them out.

Hope you did some measurements before hand. Have heard that it really helps low speed performance and short landing.

I have them on my 182 and it makes a real airplane out of it and takes away the nose heaviness that all 182's have, especially if the back seat is empty, you have long range tanks and only the front seat occupied. That is the reasons alot of 182's have firewall damage.
I suspect my landing speed will decrease about 5-10 mph in the Champ and will have aileron control alll through the stall series. I can fly my 182 at zero indicated airpseed, the stall horn blowing and make aileron turns-when it decides to quit flying it just mushes. It reduces landing speed about 5-10 mph in my tests.
To me the VG's are a safety factor if every things goes in the dumper.
