fabricating, installing new 7ac boot cowl

anyone have any pics of doing this? also installing new windshield with new boot cowl. Dave Baudendistel

I'd like to second this request. After my wings are rebuilt this will be my next project. Any advice is always appreciated!

I haven't done a Champ yet, but here are a couple pics that may help.

First thing to do is center the nose bowl. Make a block that bolts to the crank and hold the bowl in the proper location. After that, I make a cardboard template because it's cheap and fast to work with instead of ruining an $80 piece of aluminum. Once the template is made, transfer to the aluminum with plenty of extra incase you have to adjust it a little.
