National Aeronca Association Bulletin Board

I am looking to find any drawings or specs on the Aeronca Low Wings. I have ads and some pictures, looking for more detailed information.

Try the soft cover book, "Aeronca's Golden Age". It goes through Aeronca's history and covers the low wings. It has a 3-view drawing of the LB by Paul Matt, which are always very detailed and excellent.
I don't know if you can order the drawings anymore but they used to be availible and they were about 20" by 30" depending on the plane.

Good source for info here is both Jody Wittmeyer and Craig MacVeigh, both on the NAA board of directors and frequent posters here. They have collected a lot of the old blueprints for the low wing aircraft.

You might try Bob Frost over in Indiana. He owns a couple of LB's. We know him through the WACO club.
I tried to buy the LC auctioned in Los Angeles but I needed to save up a little more pop bottle money. It"s located in Hood River OR at the museum. If you can swing it get a hold of Jeremy Young at the museum and he can arrange a personal viewing. The other two I know of are at the EAA museum and Sun and Fun museum.
I would love to own an Aeronca L and a C3. They don"t come around too often but I"m still looking.

Talk to Jim Thompson, our President. He also owned one and has been helping the guys at New Carlisle with info on rebuilding theirs. There is an LC at OSH in the Pioneer Museum
