Correct Post-War Aeronca Data-tags now being sold

Just found out that Don Jones, a long time Aeronca person has the correct "Middletown" Aeronca Data-Tags for sale on Ebay. Many of them being sold these days say "Lunken" on them and they are not correct for the post-war airplanes.
They are item 400091483086

Great guy and will let you return anything for any reason. Over the last few years he has made copies of data tags for airframe & engine but is this legal? I though that the manufacture is the only one that can issue a new or replacement data tag. Have I missed something.
Also have seen that his prices are slowly going up but still great stuff.
