Below taken from another thread, thanks Joe.

Here are the service letters on Todd Trainor's excellent website.
http://www.aeronca.com/docs/ServiceLetters/

When I win the lottery  I would seriously like to do Service Letter #17 which coverts a 11AC to a BC. I have however jumped thru the hoops & been waiting for over a week for my "Registration" to go thru & can't get in to see it.
Does this site still work?
Anywhere else I could learn the steps involved to convert from a 11AC 65-8 to a 85-8?

If your registration to Todd's site has not gone through in a week, pls send him an email. He can be busy but usually gets to things.

His site is one of the best for information on Aeronca's around, especially pre-war models.

EDIT, I had a copy of SL 17 and emailed it directly to you.

I think that the 11-AC can be converted to a -BC with a logbook endorsement.

Trying to attatch documentation but pdf isn't allowed, apparently.

Anyway see TC-761.

Check out the Service Letters section of Aeronca.com. It now contains all the Chief and Champs Service Letters *AND* Helps & Hints. And just last weekend, I finished scanning and posting all the Pre-War Memos. Go to www.aeronca.com/docs

In reply to an old posting below, all user registrations at Aeronca.com are automatic and instantaneous. No need to wait. Even password reminders are automated.

Senior,
Try it again. If it does not work, contact me offline at ttad@aol.com and tell me what browser you are using.

I just tried it and it worked.... However, I noticed a double slash in the URL where a single slash should be. It still worked with my Internet Explorer, but it might now work with other browsers. Nonetheless, I just fixed the website so the URL now uses the correct single slash. If that does not work for you, I suspect you are not using IE and I have not noticed an incompatability yet.

I can read them with IE, but not with Firefox. I didn't try Safari or Chrome as I don't have them on this computer. Firefox is all I ever use under normal circumstances because of the security problems with IE.

I am leaving for a 14 day business trip. I will try to determine why Firefox is not working in February when I return. I will have to download Firefox. Is Firefox giving any clue as to what the issue it? And exactly at what point is it failing? When you click on "View" you should get the Please-donate page. Then you click on "Continue Viewing". WHich click does it fail?

The images that precede the links don't display in FF and clicking on the Donate or View links yields a Page Not Found - 404 error. ...Just tried it again and after I signed in the images appeared and I was able to view a service letter, but when I went back to try a second one the 404 error appeared again. Sounds like you've got it close but there's still a bug or two.
