0-200 hp upgrade

Post by gregoribub »

Previous discussion re hp upgrade on experimental engines regards using a C90 camshaft, 0-200 crankshaft C85 pistons
If using an 0-200 case is there enough space at the back to allow the mags to fit on the case if using tophat rubber mounts on the 0-200 so as not to bring the engine forward?
Does anyone know where you can obtain these "Top Hat Rubbers"?
Cheers

Nice hotrod engine with stock parts, however not sure the engine retains the certified status. Could be wrong. It has happened before. If you go with the( mums the word approach) and do it anyway, there should be enough room at the back , especially with slicks. Try Superior Airparts for the rubbers. Just got a set for myself and noticed the the rubber or uerathne compound is quite good. Hopefully won't end up with a million cracks in them on the first torquing. One area you may have a fit problem is at the oil sump/right lower engine mount tube. Good to check before hanging the engine, and finding out your day just turned to crap. On my 65 sump, which is a replacement, I cut that support tube off. The neck is bolted to the engine in this area anyway offering more than enough support in this area. Good luck and enjoy those extra ponies. Ron
