I've been with Avemco for a long time, never had a claim. Feb 6 the hangar roof fell in on my plane. The response was immed! They arrived, took a look and said fill out these papers (which they had done most of the work) and we will pay you in full within two weeks. They are sending crew to get it out from under the hangar. No problem! Very impressed. JC Looking for very clean 85 or up Champ, elec. start, LSA, Metal prop, Slick mags, recent redo. (forgot- Snow storm collapsed the hangar.)

Glad to hear that they are so professional. Try to get your personal items out of the plane before they do!

If I hear of any good Champs out there will let you know.

Sorry to hear of your bad luck JC . Enough snow already!! Seems like one storm after the other on the east coast. We drove through really bad roads through Iowa on our way to Texas. At one spot north of Des Moines there were 7 in the ditch with two on their tops. Any hope for repair on the plane or is it all salvage??

You might look into buying the airplane if you can, especially if they would give you a reasonable price.
