Champ interior

In the restoration of my 7AC, I am attempting to be as faithful to the 1946 Champ scheme as possible. I am having some problem trying to find original pictures or specs for the interior, i.e., the seat cushions and side panels. I suspect they were some sort of twill fabric, but a I don't remember seeing an original configuration.

Anyone have any suggestions or ideas?

When someone in mass. rebuilt my 7BCM, they must have scratched their head and said " Hell, that upholstry on the side panel is WEIGHT!" they tore it out, down to the bare metal panel. They painted the instrument panel crinkel flat black. The ENTIRE inside, window struts, side panel, door, etc was white. The floor was new marine plywood, NATURAL color with polyurthane. VERY sharp and clean looking! for very little money. The seats were rolled and pleated black nagahyde. From the inst. panel to the windshield was flat black. Headliner, off white. It looked real nice. JC

Thanks JC. I'm with you on the floor and seats. The side panels will likely be a tan tweed and the seats will be of similar color. Naugahyde sides on the seats but fabric top surfaces. (Necessary in Florida)
