Convention Updates

Post by bwmatz »

FYI...WagAero will be at the convention. They are bringing what they can fit in a pickup, including some discounted 'scratch and dent' stuff. We will also have an assortment of parts from Don Jones. Trying to get a list together of exactly what parts Don is sending us.

Don't forget...if you want to tour the restoration facility at the US Air Force Museum, I need to get your name on a list by the end of May. You'll need a photo ID and if not a US citizen, your passport as well. Due to base security, there will be no exceptions.

Brian,

Paul and Judy Agaliotis will be coming. Put me in as well even my though company giving a hard time guarantee vacation days of which I have only 78 coming to me!

Someone might want to make a note in the fAA group to get the word out.

I hope I get back this year. I really enjoyed my time spent in Ohio and I strongly recommend any Aeronca lover to make the effort!

For the Air Force Restoration tour, add Richard Haldeman and Ron Christensen to the list; we will be flying in N83729, a 1946 Aeronca Champ.

Just got off the phone with the Country Hearth Inn & Suites in Middletown...lots of rooms left convention weekend...$59 a night. If you haven't made a reservation yet, give them a call (513) 424-3551 and be sure to mention that you will be there for the Aeronca convention.

I made the reservation a while ago at the Country Hearth. Had a great stay there last time.

Well excuse me! Couldnt be that sitting out back in the courtyard with Nathan and his moonshine had anything to do with this "good time" my friend? :)

Joe,
That would be a possibility. Also the Russian gals who did all of the housekeeping duties. They won't be working there this visit,so no English lessons.

I plan to fly up on either Thursday evening or early Friday AM by RV-6 from just north of Atlanta. If anyone needs a ride, drop me a PM. Assuming we can coordinate schedules and you're not a big 'ol dude like David Johnson, we might be able to work something out.

Weather depending, I plan to return either Saturday evening or Sunday morning.
