Hanlon Wilson exhaust

Post by taylorj2cub »

I have a set of Hanlon Wilson exhaust with new shrouds installed. They were on a Champ, anyone have an idea what they are worth? I'd appreciate any comments. Doug

Looks like a new system is somewhere in the neighborhood of $2000 from Wag Aero. Normally most used parts and systems are worth about half the price of new assuming they're in serviceable condition. Although I've seen them sell on EBAY for less but you don't always know what you're getting. A new Cessna 150 system sells for about $1000 which can be installed on an approved 337. I have one on my Champ for whatever it's worth.

The Hanlon is different from the Cessna units in that Hanlon has a header at the cylinders that couples to the muffler with a single (front) clamp, then the muffler couples with a tailpipe customized for aircraft type out the rear. The Cessna exhaust has two short stacks that clamp to the muffler at the side, then a welded stack out the bottom. Classic Aero has the headers and mufflers, and can provide the various rear pipes on request- the price is about $2100 for new stuff. 480-650-0883
