Ok: Have had the L-16 now for 20 years, C85-8. Mosty run Mo-gas all these years. Use MMO as often as I can remember to add it. No problems. Now days try not to use this E-10 because you can't trust the source's. So use 100LL with MMO. End P.S. Only run Mogas when going to burn it all up. Don't like to leave it set in the tank for extended periods.

I suspect that you are not the only person doing this.

Agree about not letting it sit.

One problem is that the STC for MoGas does not allow anything but pure fuel, no ethanol what so ever allowed.

I mix my gas 75% ethanol free autogas (Premium is all I can find 91 octane) along with 25% or maybe a bit more 100LL. I also use 4 Oz of MMO for every 10 gallons.

The 75/25 mix results in the same amount of lead as the old 80/87 Avgas. I also believe the addition of the 100LL seems to keep the autogas "fresh" and the shelf life longer.

Since winter in WI is coming, I may soon switch over to 100% 100LL or at least a much higher percentage of 100LL. As I don't fly as much in the winter and I just don't trust the shelf life of the autogas.

This has worked great for me! No lead fouling and no sooty residue I get when burning straight auto fuel. And no sticky valves.

And most importantly. Since using MMO. I have not seen any pachyderms, nor have I lost any hair!

Have you checked out this site <http://pure-gas.org/index.jsp?stateprov=MN> to locate stations that sell ethanol free gas? In Michigan about the only places I've found are marinas but other states show a lot more availability.

Mixing 100LL and mogas (without alcohol) is a good idea. Some guys in my area have done it for years. Just don't let it sit.

Some non-ethanol fuel comes out of Bay City and some out of Cheboygan according to the guy I get it from "up north" who shall remain nameless...I bring 12 gallons home every weekend and has worked well in my 150...

PS-He got a load of "RV gas" the other week which was out of Bay City that was 90 octane w/o ethanol according to him...first time I've heard of that...

Sonoco racing fuel has no alcohol.
But 100LL is cheaper.
And less expensive for 100LL than to buy at the boat dock.
