Goodyear wheel covers/hub caps

I need hub caps for my Champ's Goodyear wheels...the kind with three screws at the circumference of the wheel. I got a pair from Mike Brauer in Ozark, Alabama, and while they are beautiful, they are for the Cleveland wheel with the hole in the center. Anyone know where I can find a pair with Aeronca stamped in the middle for Goodyear wheels?
Thanks,
John Murray

John,
I don't think Aeronca had the embossed hubcaps for the Goodyear wheels. You may need to make them yourself. Univair has the new hubcaps and you could find a custom painter to add the wording.

Believe that Don Jones may be making some of these. Might do a search here and you should find his email.

Thanks Paul and Joe. FYI, I emailed Don Jones (he had done a parking brake lever for me earlier and it is beautiful) but he doesn't do GY hubcaps. They are listed in Univair as Paul said.
Best regards,

John,
Please remind me this weekend. I may have a set of Goodyear hub caps in the hangar but busying flying today and tomorrow.

Hi Joe,
This is a gentle nudge to see if you have the wheel covers mentioned earlier.
Thanks and regards.

Are the Shinn covers the same for Goodyear?
Shinn wheel, cover and castle nut assembly!
Joe, are you feeling better?

Charles,
The Goodyear covers are a little different. Uivair still sells them and they aren't too bad to find. The covers in your post are specific to Shinn/Firestone. They look to be Taylorcraft L2 covers. I have a few for my planes but they are getting tough to find. I don't know of anyone doing the hemming on the edges out West.

Paul,
Why are they not hemming the edges?

Charles,
Nobody out here has the equipment to do the job. I needed to have the cockpit combing on the Waco done and ended up doing the job myself.

Paul,
I hem most parts with an ERCO Flanger, this machine does wonders on all types of edges; hemmed, wired and returns!

Charles,
I used a similar method with my bead roller. After I rolled the edge I inserted the wire and completed the roll by hand. I'm satisfied with the results.
