For Sale: 1947 Aeronca L-16A/7BCM. Two year old Complete museum grade total restoration to the next to last L-16A S/N 507 delivered to the USAAF in Aug 1947. Every detail authentic including original brass fire extinguisher,hand brake, first aid kit, door release mechanism,original dished out wheel covers, shoulder harnesses and "Motorola Airboy" radio.
Engine is a C-85-8 that was completely overhauled. Slick magnetos,Stromberg Carburetor and metal Sensenich Propeller also. Covered in Ceconite and Painted in Military silver with All markings as it was delivered to the USAAF.
This L16A is an authentic Warbird with comlete military history record cards as furnished by USAF Documentation Center Maxwell AFB.With AVGAS at over $3.00/gallon this is one of the extemely few authentic warbirds that can be operated for basically pocket change. Photos by Email on request.
