Eiseman Mag's

Another thread reminded me that I have Eiseman mags on my to-be-rebuilt engine.

What shops still have expertise on these mag's? I need to get both of 'em IRAN'ed one of these days...

When I had my last Eisemann mag overhauled it was in 2001, so I don't know if this guy is still around.
His name is Arnold Kesselring, or Arn Air when he used to advertise in Trade A Plane.
Address, 111 N. Main, PO Box 148 Bayard Iowa 50029 712-651-2255.
It cost about $230.00 for his work not including some parts that I supplied.
I've been real happy with his work and I'm completely satisfied with running unshielded mags.

I just talked to Arnold, base price was around $450 to go through and replace bearings and such, more if it needs new condensers. For that price and what you guys have told I think it'd be foolish not to have them done there, plus he's on my way over to Omaha to Central Cylinders.

Thanks a lot

John

John,
Both Eiseman and Bendix are the mags to have. At $450 that is a great price. I use the Eiseman LA series on the L16 and had a back-up mag if I needed it, never did. We use the Slicks at the flight school only because I can call up for one and have it the next morning.

Well that's great news because I have one of each.
