Camloc Studs to Fasten Cowling

Has anyone used camloc studs to replace the screws used to secure the lower cowling on a champ? Here is a graphic below showing what the camloc studs looks like. These are used on many other aircraft to secure the engine cowling. I was thinking about replacing the standard screws now used to hold the lower cowling. This would make it easier to remove cowling when working on the engine.

My pre-war chief has a post war cowling with cam locks. They work well.

My Post War Chief and Champ both have them on the upper cowling (Hinged), but not on the lower. Is it acceptable to install them on the lower?

Thanks - Bob

Thanks for the responses, Bob and Richard. I am not sure if they could legally be used for the entire cowling. I know they are used in the upper cowling to allow for easier access. Maybe someone in our group knows.
