Does anyone have experience with obtaining a new rudder arm that inserts into the lower end of the rudder? I need a new one. It appears that the ID of my rudder tubing is just under 1"
Thanks
Del

Re: New Rudder Arm needed
I recently recieved a Wag Aero catalogue which shows a rudder arm that looks an awful lot like a Champ unit. Ad says it's for Piper, but might be worth researching. Very resonable ($39 I think).

Del,
The Citabria unit works in the Champ, ACA should have them. They should have a steel insert where the springs hook-up. I use eyebolts at both locations.

Does this mean go with the ACA and not Wag's
I used eye bolts on my last one and am planning on it again.

Del,
I,ve never bought anything from W/A that I was satisfied with, except the Safe-air stuff. They always seem to find a way to lessen the price, but there is always a sacrifice.
They sell many things they don't manufacture and these are quality. What they manufacture is not very good quality. I guess that's why they need their code system.
The ACA stuff is all quality, but you pay for it. Probably because it's made in Wisconsin not Wihs Khon Sun, as some of the other retailers do.
