Looking for Aeroncas from the past

Friends,
A gentleman I know from Rockford Illinois is trying to locate a few Aeroncas from the 1940's. Simple Faa Database Query's he did was unsuccessful. The numbers are:

NC31841
NC39347
NC27358
NC31874

The planes would have been in Quincy Illinois in 1941-1942 as a part of a flying club/flying school. A few years ago, hefound his grandfathers training logs and noted the Aeronca's in his original training log. He is a Navion Rangemaster guy himself, but would be interested in tracking down whether the planes are still in existence. Any help or suggestions on where to look would be appreciated.

Can we help him - please advise me with any leads or information you may have. I will forward any info or leads to him. Mary and I met him at the NAA booth in the Type club hangar at Oshkosh this year.

The last one on the list is in Inglewood Calif. Go to the FAA site and drop the C of and just use the numbers. It is a 65TL S/N 9131T MFG 1941.
