Scott 3000 Tail Wheel and photo

Post by Norm G »

I have a Scott 3000 Tail Wheel that I removed from my 1946 7AC Champ many years ago. I think it's time to see what it's worth and sell it for a fair price. The wheel is a 6X2 and has a duel fork and is in very good comdition and it was original to my plane.
This is my first try at attaching a photo. Thanks to Bill French for the instructions.

This is a very old post, and you probably sold it.that Scott 3000 even tho it didn’t rotate 360 degrees, was a fine tail wheel for the Champ, I solved my 360 issue with a tail wheel stooge. Every Maule tail wheel I’ve seen after several landings and cross wind issues, tend to fail their intended use, requiring rebuild.the Scott 3000 main bearing will wear, but is replaceable at a cheaper cost. Even the tire last a lot longer, Just my opinion, and not to offend.
