new here with a question for propping on the ice

Post by seabeeflyer »

Hi everyone and thanks for having me on your site. I haven't yet mounted my skis on the Chief, but when I do I'd like to know...........Being alone on the ice, what kind of technique is safest for hand propping? ( if there is one)

It's best to find a place to tie the tail down. You can block one ski with a two by four while you untie the tail. I've found that if the skis sit on snow for awhile they need to be broken loose before you can move it sometimes.
