KX99 Repair Services

Once upon a time, I asked on this Bulletin Board if there were any avionics shops willing to accept KX99 units for repair. This was after being advised by Bendix-King that the 99's were not only out of production but considered non repairable. One answer I got was "No but if you ever find one, let us Know". So, being unwilling to be afraid to ask, I did. This afternoon, I was told that King Avionics in New Century Ks. Is a place where you may be able to get some repairs on Kx99's done! Presumably, If you call them (913 829 4606) and can adequately describe the problems you are having, this organization will accept some repair work. I haven't tried them so am only passing along the answer I got to my persistent questioning. It is also possible that certain repair work cannot be taken on since some critical parts are no longer available . There you have it. Let us know any experience you have with this company.
