Looking for a Citabria Yoke that goes on the torque tube.

Nathan,
I bought one from ACA. It fit very well but is not drilled, some of the Citabrias used taper pins and some were split pins. It was a little tricky to drill but worked out fine.

Nathan,
I think I have one at home. I bought one from Champion for my Champ but never used it as the rounded part rubbed on the belly fabric so I found another (straight) one and installed it instead. Seemed to me (this is from about 10 years ago) that it came with some kind of a bearing on it that I cut off but then decided not to use it. You're welcome to it if I can locate it. Bad news is I'm in Texas until the end of March.

Mike,
About 1974 they used a roller bearing for the torque tube. The rear yolk has a steel spacer bushing pressed on that acts as the tube stops. It's not too tight and can be removed in the shop, the Champ has one also.
The radius on the Citabria is to clear the cables. They extend farther aft before being directed up to the elevators.

Mike; When you get north, let me know. No hurry, I'm still getting my ducks in a row. Thanks.

Paul, do you remember what ACA wanted for one?

Nathan,
I believe it was $80.00. I don't remember it being over $100. I tried to locate a used one but figured the holes would be in the wrong place anyway. If the yolk gets put on with a little angle it's going to make rigging the ailerons a little different. I don't know how much can be rigged out.

I paid $75 when I bought it from ACA about 12 years ago but I have no use for it so you can have it. I'll contact you when I get home. I'm pretty sure it's sitting on the shelf gathering dust in the shop.
If I forget, give me a shout in April.

Nathan,
I'm back in the north country and I found the aileron control. I'll try to post a picture of it but looks similiar to the one on the left in your previous picture. Shoot me your address (PM is fine) and I'll sent it to you as I have no need for it right now. Part number stamped on it is 2 706.
