Going to Sun N Fun 2013?

I was there last year, BUT until I know that the vintage tiedown area will not have the sticky black dust, apparently caued by burning the grass before the show, I am not sure if I want to endure that mess again. Anyone know if that problem has been solved. If so, who can I contact to confirm it will not be be same?

I know they are making some improvements and I can't remember where I read everything.

I did get an email from Sun N Fun. They blamed the oily dust on burning grass in January. They are not doing that this year, so I will try it one more time.

Flyin or drivin? We're blasting out 9am for LAL via Montgomery, AL in a pair of CarbonCubs.
I'll be down all week hoping rides in the biplane off the grass, so I'll try to see you guys at the type club tent during the airshow.

The Early April NE storm weather and an unexpected medical problem for my passenger have washed me out for Sun & Fun 2013. I was really. Looking forward to meting up with some folks from this forum but, I guess another time. Anyone who does make it, try to catch collies' presentation on the McDowell Starter. He has put a lot of effort into this and made a lot of information available to all of us on his topic.
I'll be looking for other activities this summer especially those with a leaning towards Aeroncas. Please post them here or if you wish, advise me by PM or E-Mail. Have a good time in FL.

Sorry to hear you are not making SnF. I too had to revise my plans and am staying in OH working daily on the Champ. I was looking forward to attending Colie's presentation and now hope someone will record it and post it for all to see.
