Nube to the group

I'm the new guy who has just sold my 7AC this very evening.

I bought it as a pup under 30 and now I'm on my way to 59.... Where does the time go?? There is a silver lining to this story in that, as soon as the wx gets tolerable for a Texas boy, I'm on my way to take ownership of a '47 7AC that Mr. Pancake rebuilt in '92 and has since been tenderly cared for.

Welcome MarkZ.
By tolerable weather are you referring to the 100+ temps y'all get in the summer

What part of Texas?
Richard

I'm in Granbury Tx 0TX0 all Aeroncas are welcome. I've got plenty of space and hospitality. I'm not even averse to an occasional spam can.

Ok, with Joe's help I'm back after long silence. I've mainly been occupied with the Cessna groups and lurk a bit on Beechtalk. I got to go to the last Middletown fly-in with Rich Dugger and met a bunch of the folks; look forward to the next!
However what brings me back with interest is a 65CA project that is third hand a buddy and I am undertaking to reassemble for its owner. It is full of dirt dauber nests which is probably the worst of its ills. The structure, fabric, and paint are excellent. We'll need to make a top cowl but the bug eye is new. I think all parts are here and it could be a show piece if we see enough examples of where we need to go. A few on the FAA remailer have chimed in and I'll likely take time to view their examples, John Franklin in particular. My files are too big so I'll try to post a future link so you can see where we are going and chime in on help. I'll also post the project in restorations.
Thanks for any assistance!
