I have the small Scott tailwheel in a Champ. It doesn't want to unlock. Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks

Re: Tail Wheel won't unlock
Paul,
The 2000 series Scott is locked forward by the steering arm indexing into slots in the pivot shaft. About the only way to keep it from unlocking is to have too much spring tension on the operating springs or damage/blockage in the steering collar.
These little wheels have to have the tension springs installed. Compression springs have to be set up too tight to work and will wear out the shaft prematurely.

Re: Tail Wheel won't unlock
Thanks I have compression springs on it now. It was unlocking earlier, but I can't get to unlock not. I'll get tension springs.
