It Flies !

Well, I finally "slipped the surley bonds of earth" this afternoon. I waited 'til late afternoon, and a bit of atmospheric cooling so the density altitude here was down to 9,400'. After 4 years of restoration, the Champ performed flawlessly, and the pilot (me) did pretty well too! Sure felt good! A special thanks to those on this forum who offered help and ecouragement. I would post pics but still haven't figured out how to do that here.

Congrats! I would love to see some pics too. You have to host them somewhere else and then link to them here.

Pics would be great. But better yet grab a tent and a VISA card and bring you and your plane to Oshkosh so we can all see it there. Vintage Camping is the place to be for the week.

Brian,
Congratulations! I'm sure you thrilled beyond words. If you want to send me your pictures I can host them for you. Picassaweb.google.com is a site I use and its free.

Brian,
Congrats and another vote for pics available here. I hope you had a photog standing by to record your "wheels-off the runway" first takeoff.
