Hi, Folks,

As most of us seem to be in the process of learning how to post avatars and images in our replies, I thought I would put together a few comments.

If you find something incorrect or an ommission please jump in and maybe we'll come up with a final version that will be acceptable.

IMAGE POSTING

1. Any images or avatars have to uploaded to a site that allows remote viewing such as www.photobucket.com - a free image hosting server.

Images should be kept to a 750 pixel width to accomodate people with their computers set to 1024 x 768 screen resolution - otherwise they have to keep scrolling back and forth to read the messages. See sample image at the bottom.

2. To post the image to NAA select the IMG option at the bottom of the picture.
Do this by highlighting the option by left clicking once.
Then right click - and COPY
Go to NAA - select where you want to put the image by left clicking once - then right click - then PASTE.
You will see a similar line as below



This is your image code.

3. Go to PREVIEW at the bottom of the screen and click it and you will see a Preview of your message.

4. Go to SUBMIT and left click and you are done.

Hi, Joe,

Good show - great pics - only thing is to keep the pics at 800 pixels wide or you'll wind up scrolling back and forth across the page especially if there is a lot of text with it.

The Champ is mine, N81555, the Chief, N85849, is Chris Hiatt's at the Clinton, OK fly-in earlier this summer.

I did exactly what Joe said in the directions and the picture still doesn't appear. Frustrated in MN. Jim

I cannot explain to you how I did it other than to say that instead of cutting and pasting the URL where your photo is, I right clicked on the webpage where you photo is and when the small menu came up I selected "copy image location" then came back to the NAA page and clicked on the "IMG" icon, pasted the location then clicked again on the "IMG" icon and it worked.

At least its up now and give it a try again if you want to, or post it in the "Restoration" section on the forum!

Thanks for the nice comments and for posting the pictures Joe. It better look nice with all the new parts in both wings. They have 4 new spars, 9 ribs in the left side and 4 ribs in the right, plus leading and trailing edges. All new bearings, cables and hardware. I made new wing tip bows but haven't had the brackets welded on yet. Those are some of my stringers laying on the wing. Everything out at the hangar will stay like that until about late March when it starts to warm up. Jim
