7EC Air Filter replacement

As far as I can tell, Brackett Air Filters are not approved for the 7EC. They are approved for many other Aeronca, Bellanca, Champion, ACA airframes, but I cannot understand why they did not include the 7EC:

If someone can shed some light on this, I would appreciate it.

My current air filter is an Air Maze. I believe the part # is U2-849:

It appears that Air Maze is now owned by Donaldson and the part # is P19-7150:

If anyone has any experience with these choices, I would appreciate comments...

I think it might be due to the 'Aeronca type' heat box which is part of the air frame and not the engine. I've seen many Brackett filters on 7AC/11AC and even some with 'approved' paperwork but they are not type certified for 7 and 11 series Aeroncas to my knowledge. I think the "A"s are Bellancas, thus the difference. Having said that, in my opinion they are a superior air filter to the AirMaze and the element is certainly less expensive and more likely to be changed on a regular basis.
