Interesting to notice that the Chief manual doesn't show either a turn and bank or a 'skid ball'. Also, no step on either side but Chiefs are new to me. Had me scratching my head for awhile.

Edit: this should have been posted in the Chief forum........slow learner or force of habit  .

Mike,

Your observations are correct. The original stock 11AC Chief did not come with a turn and bank or ball and needle. My Chief, N86176, did not have one. But then the same was true of the original 7AC.

The 11AC did not have steps, probably because it is not as necessary because of the seating arrangement. My Chief was easy for me to board - I basically just sat down then swung my legs in. On my Champ I find the step very helpful.

Airspeed, altimeter, rpm and oil temp/ pressure is the world of aviation was invented--none of this bureaucratic save the world stuff. That is the way mine still is. The world is dumbing down long after we saved these machines as manufactured.....

Yes, and with a pocket full of AA batterys you can go cross country just fine.
But East of the Mississippi there are too many roads and things get confusing.
