Jack,
I have the same unit and installed mine on the floor under the rear seat.
Hope this helps.

Placing it within the "cage" of the cabin helps insure survivability. Make sure it is securely mounted to the frame or floorboards and not prone to bouncing around. You don't want a hard landing setting it off.

Give thought to the antenna placement..... I have mine in the cabin so it won't be wiped out if I slide it in.

I have a EBC that sits on the left side, behind the aileron bellcrank cover on the floor. Works nice and haven't accidentally set it off.

Jack,
I have an Ameri-king in 85537 on the floor to the right of the rear seat.

Mine's Adell clamped to the tubes that run across the left rear window. I have the seat out way too much to have anything (else) cluttering up the floor.
