Need a Mcdowell starter flange shaft ratchet wheel to buy, or can trade a tapered shaft ratchet wheel for it Anybody ?

Dale, the Wagaero fairings ( hubcaps ) are for cleveland wheels. different size and screw pattern. Preferred airparts has some new and used ones, Duncan Aviation does also. Goodyear part # 510612. I have some new, some used, and some very beat up ones. will check later if have a good used pair.

I have a banner tow hook setup that was installed and used on my chief before the McDowell starter, dont use it now.

Joe Dickey was the Aeronca aviator club, he gave every thing to the present club to continue on. Alot of his letters and tips, etc are what are on sale in the present club store. Instead of stooges, search for quick release in the newsletters, their are pictures even.

Run 12-15 psi in the mains on my chief for 14 years , just like the manual says, never had a problem.
