Help!

Post by mtw »

I am in need of help to finish some work on a '46 Chief. The guy that started out the work will not be able to finish it and I am working to complete it.

I have the interior finished. I am looking for someone with some experience that can help me get the windshield in, finish & fit the cowlings etc...

The plane is sanded and ready for paint, but I will cross that bridge after the other items are complete. I am located in Okolona, MS. I appreciate any leads you might have.

Thanks,

Todd Wilemon

How far are you from the Atlanta area? Nathan on this forum lives in the ATL area and there are a large group of Aeronca people in the area.

If you are not far from them bet that for a suitable amount of adult beverage and some BBQ you could entice a couple do stop by and lend a hand.

Todd, I have found out that if you have a question, you can usually get it answered on this forum. I am trying to photograph everything that I do on my Chief. If I can help you via e-mail, please let me know. You can check out my website www.aeroncachief.blogspot.com It might give you encouragement to continue.

It sounds like you are further along than I am but, I encourage you to get "get her flying".

Wish I were closer but like Nate, I am in the Atlanta Area. Matt

Thanks for the input. I appreciate the e-mail offer. I will probably contact you to ask some questions as they come up.

Thanks again.

Todd,
You will find alot of help here, also I hope that your [A&P/AI] and the other guy that was doing the work has documented & signed off the parts completed so far. It is easy to say we will finish all the paperwork when we are finish that not to smart, never know who will be there at the completion.

Good Luck

Mikek
