available carb stc's

Post by boeing »

what are the available options for certified carb stc's for the Champ with the c-85. Still trying to sort out all my options with my carb troubles.
I have heard of the lowe stc, which enables you to put a 0-200 carb on the c-85.
Are there any other available carbs, or are we limited to either the MS, or the Stromberg?

What is listed in the Type Certificate Data Sheet is what you are limited to unless you can find something on an STC OR get a field approval, which is almost impossible these days.

Take the plane experimental and put what you want on the plane! :)

carb trouble

Post by big chief 48 »

Hi. Hate to see a guy with carb trouble. I sent my stromberg off to a guy in florida,. he rebuilt it for about 225 ish. Have not had one bit of trouble since. You may have to send it to an expert, but I think the strombergs are a good carb if not tampered with. Sometimes the more you f**k with stuff, the worse it gets.
