I am restoring a this plane and wonder if there is someone out there who would be willing to share detailed interior pictures and/or knowledge on these fine aircraft.

1941 65TAC
I have a 1944 65TAC, one of the last made of this model. I'll help if I can, but my airplane has had some interior modifications to the panel following the installation of a C-85 engine, so it's probably not totally original in that regard. It is indeed a very fine airplane.

Thank you for your replies. I intend to go back reasonably close to original and have recieved some info from Mr. Houser at Aeronca. I have also requested copies of the original drawings but have no idea when, or if, they will arrive and am ready to put it back together now. I have a ton of questions but here are a few of them:
I would love to see some pictures of interior details such as how the door latch is supposed to look and any details on how the door fits. What is the original location of the mag switch? It appears that all of the wooden support structure for the fuel tank has been re-created and does not fit really well, it would be nice to have some pic of this.

MY Name is Keith Parker. I bought a 1941 TAC two+ years ago and love it.
I don't know if mine is original or not. I have been to Sun and Fun and to Oshkosh for the last two years hoping to find someone with a TAC so I could compare notes etc with them. You are the FIRST person that I have ever heard that has one of these planes. I was begining to think I had the only one.
I will be glad to take pictures of anything that woould be of benefit to you. Just let me know.
I have done a few things to mine such as install a tow release (I have no one to help start it.) I am going Monday to try to get a field approval for this installation. If I get it I will send that information to you also. I have a motorcycle battery installed between the front peddles (I fly from the back seat) that runs my intercom, radio, and GPS. Works great and can be removed in minutes to be recharged.
Let me hear what pictures or information you need.
