Cub Style Landing Gear

I am looking for any information and pictures of Super Cub style of landing gear that has been installed on a Champ airframe. If anyone has done this modification I would appreciate finding out how well it performed, good or bad experiences, etc.

There was a good discusion about it a while back. I think it's a good idea if you're running in rough areas, or plan to do a LOT of ski flying.

For the flying I do (off airport wheels & skis) this gear is the best. I've had it on for 5 years, with hundreds of off-airport landings, and the performance is excellent. Not a cheap mod, but the best upgrade I've done on the airplane. Of course, getting it approved outside Alaska might be hard.

Nathan, I was out yesterday at the strip you posted a picture of a couple weeks ago (upside down airplane), it's winter there now - 2 inches of snow and cold.

It's not there anymore - if it needed a helicopter, I think one is only a half hour away.
