varnish for wing spars
varnish for wing spars
Any tips on varnishes for my new wing spars? I've heard that marine varnish is good. Some people have suggested home depots best. Any ideas?

2-part Thats the key. 1 part varnish, like Minwax or Spar-Varnish doesn't have the service life, and can be lifted with solvents such as MEK, acetone etc... 1-part will eventually start to fail and flake off as well.
The covering process you choose should have something or recomend a product. PolyFiber and Randolf both use EV-400, their homebrew 2-part epoxy varnish.
