WOW ! A vintage 1950 Sedan with extremely LOW TIme - (429.5 Hrs) T.T.S.N. How come so low time.? Aircraft was stored indoors while owner was in the U.S. Military. (31 Yrs.) Aircraft and Engine then torn Down, and Rebuilt. Engine by T.C.M. , Airframe Rebuilt from the Steel Frame outward using Mostly NEW Aircraft quality part. Numerous present day Up-Grades. Including: Shoulder harnesss- All seats. New Lap Belts.
Totally NEW Instrument Panel W/many New instruments. A Must SEE.
Engine employs - New Ignition system thru-out. New 50 AMP Alternator.
Carb & Starter O.H.d. Employs a NEW Oil Filter System W/Warning system. Superb single, Level Flt system installed. Aircraf FLY's better than NEW 1950 A/C. New Metal Cruise Prop installed. All NEW Tinted Glass

William,
Is this the same plane you have been listing on this site for quite a while?
I just started looking at the sedan section on here and I really don't know alot about them.
I already have a 7AC Champ with an O-235 and a 172 but I am wanting to get rid of both and get another 4-seater that I can get in and out of my 1000 ft. strip. Are the Sedans cabable of this?
I've been trying to find performance specs on line for the standard Sedan but not having much luck.

Dear W.W. Hunter, December 28th, 2007.

It is Good that you have an Interest in the Aeronca "SEDAN" product. The
plane that you refer to N1381H is a 1950 Aircraft FULLY Restored to the year 2004 Standards (Up-Grades) completed in late Yr. 2003. Nearly ALL new parts were used for this Complete Restoration. Exception Steel Fuselage frame, and Metal Wings. Everything else was either NEW or Completely Overhauled.
Performance: A 1,000 Foot Airstrip even for High performance aircraft is a bit short of an airstrip unless no obstructions prevail in fron for T.O. or Landing. The SEDAN has NO wing Flaps, as does Cessna's. T.O's with ONLY one person aboard occurs in 700 Feet in a Sedan. Landings..... somewhat further. My aircraft does Not have a Climb prop. It is set up for Long distance cruise. Fly's better than NEW. Kindly Reply - Bill Morrise

Not sure how many Sedan owners have looked at the link that Matt posted above, but everyone should and after they do, they should be very, very afraid.

The reason why they should be afraid is that after I looked at the link and other pages on this website I realized that this airplane is going to be the nicest Sedan that I have ever seen! The quality of the welds, the detailing on every photo that is posted is absolutely the best I have ever seen.

Everyone should be afraid as this airplane will win a lot of awards and make every other Sedan in the field wish that they were restored like this one was!

Do you think they are going to bring this plane back from Switzerland to be judged? From what I read last night, that is where it is unless I misunderstood.

I agree though....it is one beautiful Sedan!!!

To tell the truth I would love to see it brought from Europe back to America to be judged and feel that it would win hands down.

The quality of the workmanship is just some of the best that I have ever seen and remember that I am a judge at several fly-in's here in the SW part of the country.

Did not realize how beautiful the work is until seeing the website today...
