Approved aerobatics

What aerobatic manoeuvres are approved for the 7AC thru 7FC?
Spins, loops, barrel rolls, hammerheads? I assume any negative g manoeuvres are prohibited...

Is there an aerobatic restriction once the airplane's engine has been upgraded from a 65 to a 85/90?

For me, anything that is excuted with skill and not creating a load either as excessive speed or Gs, could be done. I use to do spins, loops, and barrel rolls in my 7DC. However......that was then and this is now...the airplanes being much, much older. I don't even spin my Chief now, although I'm sure it could be safely done. I just keep thinking about the 62 year old spar, tubing, etc. . It deserves a rest. Now, others (hi Jody) have some other thoughts on that.

Agree with Roger. If I want to do acro, I will do it in a plane designed and stressed for acro.

If you insist on doing this sort of thing in a Aeronca, then please restore the airplane and inspect the fuselage and wings very carefully and make sure that everything is up to snuff on it. Then recover it and go fly.

Also do not forget to strap on a parachute when you do something like this. Its against the FAR's otherwise!
