Champ Fuel Valve

I would like to find a Champ fuel shut off valve. I know they are like hens teeth.. I could use the whole valve, but really need the brass washer/spacer with the ear on it that fits in the groove when the valve is disassembled.. Have a valve but the washer is busted.
The washer looks like a small version of a spark plug washer with one ear on it. If you can help send me a PM.

Does anyone know who manufacturered the Champ fuel shutoff valves? Most have no marking or manufactuerer indentification on them. Guess this mean you can replace it with a valve with no markings on it.
This probably falls into the category of Champs with Brackett filters installed and in annual.

Doug,
Imperial Brass was the original manufacturer. There are still a few out there. There are a couple of differences in the valves. Some are threaded for tube thread and others are pipe thread. I have also seen the stem seals with O rings or copper washer seals.
Aviat Service Bulletin #30 for the Pitts S2 allows the replacement of the Imperial 104HD with the Apollo 76-101. I would consider this a minor alteration.

Thanks for the information. I assumed it was an Imperial Brass valve but haven't been able to find anything similar so far. The seal washer I mentioned is Brass and it was cracked. I'll check out the Aviat avenue. Thanks much. Sounds like a minor alteration using 43.13-1B and AC-23-27.

The new fuel valve for the Champ and Chief should be certified shortly. Contact Burl Rogers who is the type certificate holder for the 15AC Sedan. He got approval of the valve for the Sedan and now is working on the same for the 7AC and 11AC. One was on display at Middletown last month. Ask Bill Pancake his opinion about this valve. He had a good look at it and made some suggestions for its improvement.
