39 65C tapered axle
39 65C tapered axle
Hi Gents--I'm a new registrant and Aeronca owner. No problems to discuss--love flying the airplane. Has anyone got any idea where I can get a drawing of the tapered axle on my 39 65C? I have the Aeronca drawings from Aeronca.com and it's not listed / shown. I noticed the different axle shaft when I tried to install skis from a Champ. Thanks

Welcome to the bulletin board.
If you can find out the drawing number, we here at the NAA have most of the blueprints of the airplanes and can get you one.

How is the Aeronca drawing project coming along, will we be able to do a search for a drawing by # or subject sometime? Will we be able to down load a copy?
Well, when the board gets some time can they give us a outline of where it is heading and a loose time table on the different goals?
Thanks,
Mike K

Doug,
C2 & C3 I believe. I was so busy fussing with airplanes and so on that I was not in on that situation.
If you guys need something, most of its available. As for sending out copies or downloading drawings just not sure when thats going to happen. We have been so busy with Middletown and now Oshkosh that we have not had time to work with it.

I hope all of the people involved with the"drawing project" know how important their work is to the continued operation of our Aeronca's. Without the drawings, accurate maintenance and repair will be increasingly difficult to accomplish in todays FAA. All of the work completed so far is appreciated by all.
Thank you
Paul
